Terms
The terms of using ShipYrd.AI
Last updated 24 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and SHIPYRD.AI LTD (company number 17255074, registered in England and Wales, registered office 126 Great Lime Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 6RU, United Kingdom), which runs ShipYrd.AI. "We" and "us" mean the company; "you" means the person with the account. By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
1. Your account
- You must be 18 or over, and the details you give us must be accurate.
- An account is for one person. Keep your password and your authenticator app to yourself; you're responsible for what's done with your account.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us straight away at support@shipyrd.ai.
2. What ShipYrd.AI does, and what it can't promise
ShipYrd.AI uses AI to turn your description into designs and a working app, and to change that app when you ask. AI makes mistakes. An app may not do exactly what you meant, and may contain errors. Check that your app works as you need before you or anyone else relies on it, especially for anything involving money, health, safety or people's personal information.
3. Credits and payments
- AI work (drawing designs, planning, building and changing apps) is paid for in credits. We show roughly how many credits a step will use before it starts. That's an estimate: the actual charge depends on the work done, and a step that doesn't succeed can still use credits, because the work was still done.
- Welcome credits are a gift. Like all credits, they have no cash value and can't be transferred.
- The plan renews monthly until you cancel it on your billing page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. Monthly plan credits expire at the end of each period; credits you buy separately don't expire while your account is open.
- Prices are shown before you pay. Stripe takes the payment on our behalf.
- If you're a consumer, you can cancel a purchase within 14 days of making it: email us and we'll refund the credits from that purchase you haven't used. This doesn't limit any other rights you have by law.
- We may change prices or what the plan includes. Changes to the plan apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you before then.
4. What you make is yours
You own the ideas you describe and, as far as the law allows, the apps made for you. To run the service you give us permission to store, copy, process and display them, including sending them to our AI providers, and to host the apps you choose to share. That permission ends when you delete them or close your account, apart from copies we must keep by law and backups that expire on their own.
- Sharing an app makes it public: anyone with its link can use it.
- Letting people copy a shared app (which is on unless you switch it off) lets anyone with an account make their own copy of the app and change it, for any purpose. They never get what your app has collected. Switching copying off stops new copies; it doesn't undo copies already made.
- Adding a design to Community lets other users choose it and build on it.
- You're responsible for having the right to anything you ask us to put in an app, such as names, text or trade marks.
5. Using ShipYrd.AI fairly
You must not use ShipYrd.AI, or apps made with it, to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- deceive people, for example by imitating a real business or person, or by collecting passwords, payment details or other information under false pretences;
- harass, threaten or harm anyone, or share material that is hateful, sexual involving anyone under 18, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- collect information about people without telling them, or without a lawful reason;
- get round the limits, the sealed environment apps run in, or the security of the service, or try to reach other people's accounts or data;
- overload the service, or resell access to it without our agreement.
If an app or account breaks these rules we may switch off its link, remove the content or suspend the account. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right.
6. If your app collects information
When people enter information into an app you've shared, you are the controller of that information and we process it on your behalf. You're responsible for having a lawful reason to collect it, telling people what you do with it, and dealing with their requests. Please don't collect especially sensitive information (such as health details) unless you're sure you're allowed to.
For that information, we will:
- process it only to run your app and show it to you, and on your instructions (which include these terms and the settings you choose);
- make sure anyone who can access it is bound to keep it confidential, and keep it secure;
- use only the providers listed in our privacy policy, on terms that protect it at least as well, and tell you before adding new ones;
- help you respond to people's requests and meet your own obligations, as far as we reasonably can;
- tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting it;
- delete it when you delete it or close your account (you can download it first), unless the law requires us to keep it;
- give you the information you reasonably need to show that we're meeting these commitments.
7. Downloads
You can download your app's project whenever you like. Once it's downloaded, running and hosting it is up to you, and these terms no longer cover that copy.
8. The service changing or stopping
- We're always improving ShipYrd.AI, so features, limits and designs may change.
- We aim to keep it running, but can't promise it will always be available or free of faults.
- Shared links of accounts with no plan, purchases or activity for 90 days are switched off; sharing again brings back the same link.
- If we ever close ShipYrd.AI, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can download your apps and their entries, and refund credits you bought but haven't used.
9. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- If you're a consumer, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
- If you use ShipYrd.AI for a business, we're not responsible for loss of profits, revenue, business, data or opportunity, or for indirect loss, and our total responsibility in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months.
10. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from your account page; deleting it also cancels your plan. We may close or suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. When an account closes, its shared links stop working, unused credits are lost (apart from any refund owed under section 3) and its information is deleted as our privacy policy describes. Download anything you want to keep first.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects you significantly, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can close your account before then.
12. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
